What to eat in Lisbon, Portugal while visiting.

Hi everyone,

Today I like to chat about food in Lisbon, Portugal. It is such a good feeling to try food you have never eaten in a country you have never been to, and then when you home, you have great memories and this feeling I call it Travel Energy.

Let’s see.

Lisbon is not only a city of historic neighborhoods and stunning beaches, but it’s also a food lover’s paradise. From traditional Portuguese dishes to fusion cuisine, there’s something for everyone when it comes to eating and drinking in Lisbon.

One of the must-try foods in Lisbon is the famous seafood. From freshly grilled sardines to clams cooked in garlic and wine, the seafood in Lisbon is some of the best you’ll ever taste. I highly recommend trying it at one of the many seafood restaurants in the city, such as Cervejaria Ramiro or O Assobiador.

If you’re looking for something a little more substantial, then try one of the many traditional Portuguese dishes. From cozido à portuguesa (a hearty stew) to bacalhau (salted cod), there’s no shortage of delicious options. For a truly authentic experience, head to the Mercado da Ribeira, where you can try a range of Portuguese specialties in a bustling market setting.

When it comes to snacking in Lisbon, there are plenty of options to keep you going throughout the day. From freshly baked pastéis de nata (custard tarts) to bolinhos de bacalhau (salt cod fritters), there’s something for everyone. And, of course, there are also plenty of coffee shops and bakeries where you can grab a quick bite and a coffee to fuel your sightseeing.

Regarding drinks, Lisbon has plenty of options to quench your thirst. From refreshing local beers to crisp white wines, there’s something for everyone. I particularly, when I go to a warm country, enjoy the freshly squeezed fruit juice from local fruits, it is very refreshing, with a tropical sweetness taste and then I’m trying to feel like a local there, to feel the energy and vibe of the town, the people.

Overall, the food, snacks, and drinks in Lisbon are a big part of what makes this city so special. Whether you’re looking for traditional Portuguese cuisine or something a little more contemporary, you’re sure to find something that you love. I can’t wait to go back and taste more of Lisbon’s fantastic food and drinks.
